At Quintin we encourage rowers to become independent athletes in a safe and supportive manner. The tidal part of river Thames, aka The Tideway, presents unique navigation rules and restrictions that all rowers should know. Coxes and steers are regularly tested to keep this knowledge sharp and up-to-date.Please bear in mind these tide predictions for Quintin Beach are based on a programme that runs to predict the tides at Kew Bridge.
It is still best to look carefully at the stream before you set off down the beach!

The Tideway Code
Given that we share the river with numerous other river users the PLA has now combined the forrmer Tideway Code for Rowing on the Thames with other codes of practice within the Port of London.
